Minnesota Vikings @ Arizona Cardinals

The matchup between the Vikings and Cardinals is probably going to be the easiest pick of the week.

I would even go so far as to say that the Cardinals are a lock to win this matchup.

Minnesota did not look good on either side of the ball in their first game against the Cincinnati Bengals, they made crucial errors offensively and their defense couldn’t stop Joe Mixon to save their lives.

Arizona not only has a defense that had six plus sacks on Ryan Tannehill last week and held the Tennessee Titans to just 13 total points, but their offense is arguably the best unit in the league.

Kyler Murray gives opposing defensive coordinators nightmares and he has a great group of wideouts featuring DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore, A.J. Green and Christian Kirk.

This team also has a new dynamic running back duo with James Connor and Chase Edmonds.

I just can’t see a future where the Vikings are able to knock off what appears to be a very hot Cardinals squad that looks to make a statement this year.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals

Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens

This is going to be a fun one to watch this weekend.

However, I would say that the Chiefs are a fantastic bet to win this game.

For starters, the Ravens haven’t been able to defeat Mahomes and the Chiefs since Lamar Jackson took over as the starting quarterback.

That isn’t to say Jackson can’t turn that round, but he historically has been bested by Mahomes and company every time.

It also doesn’t help that a lot of their starters are going to be out with injuries such as J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Marcus Peters.

Their defense didn’t look good against the Las Vegas Raiders last week and I think it’s safe to say that the Chiefs are a tad better in that department.

Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, they all just bring so much talent and stretch defenses so much that it is near impossible to stop.

The Chiefs defense isn’t terrible either, they may be missing some key starters as well, but they still have guys like Chris Jones defending the run, something that Baltimore loves to do.

A lot of people would like to stay away from this contest because it is too unpredictable, but I feel like the Chiefs are just going to keep their win streak alive against Jackson and the Ravens.

I have learned to never doubt Mahomes throughout his NFL career and if just has some way to knock of Baltimore consistently then this is going to be the game, he proves that.

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers

I think we all are aware of how this one is going to go. Maybe the Lions are going to surprise me and shock the world, but I just can’t see it happening this week.

Yes, the Green Bay Packers played absolutely atrocious in their season opener against the New Orleans Saints, but it just seems like that isn’t going to happen again.

Star wide receiver Davante Adams already said in an interview that the embarrassing loss has made them pull it together, that it is currently acting as a wake-up call to the entire roster.

I also believe that Aaron Rodgers isn’t going to be that off of his game this weekend like he was then.

These two teams are division rivals that don’t like each other which means both sides are going to want to win this game.

Detroit did in fact show some fight in them towards the final quarter of their loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but it was just too little too late.

The majority of it came during garbage time, with a muffed onside kick actually giving them a chance to win the ball game. I feel as though that isn’t going to happen again.

Green Bay is a far more talented team than the Lions and should pick up an early lead right away.

Once that happens the Lions will be right back into their catch-up mode like they were in last weekend, and it will be a similar outcome.

Plus, if I was going to make a bet on either Aaron Rodgers or Jared Goff, I am taking Rodgers one hundred percent of the time until I see Goff start making plays like Rodgers has throughout his whole career.

Pick: Green Bay Packers

New England Patriots @ New York Jets

I was debating whether or not to put this game on the list but there is a definite reason as to why I should.

I believe that the Patriots are going to walk away victorious this game and that they are one of the best predictions to make this week.

We have all seen the type of confusion that Bill Belichick always seems to cause onto rookie quarterbacks on the opposing team.

Last season, the Patriots dismantled rookie Justin Herbert and he ended up becoming the Rookie of the Year. With Zach Wilson as the quarterback of the Jets, you can expect Bill to throw everything that they have at them.

It also gets worse for Wilson and company because he was hit over seven times in his first game against the Carolina Panthers.

New England is going to bring a lot of pressure and throw his offensive line off their game, resulting in a frazzled rookie quarterback.

On the other end, Mac Jones and the offense should put up quite a fair bit of points.

The Jets lost a lot of starters due to injury in their first game and to be honest with you, Jones looked phenomenal as a passer against the Miami Dolphins, a very good defense mind you.

While he isn’t very flashy or athletic, Jones has all the intelligence in the world and just so happens to be working with one of the greatest coaches to ever be in the NFL.

I like what the Jets have been doing so far in their rebuild but the Patriots are going to win this game.

Pick: New England Patriots
