Raiders vs Vikings 2019 NFL Week 3 Lines
It’s the last time the Oakland Raiders will ever visit Minnesota on Sunday. Of course, the Silver and Black will be known as the Las Vegas Raiders starting in 2020. The Vikings are solid NFL betting favorites to improve to 2-1.

In 2015, Oakland was a 30-14 home loser to the Vikings in Week 10. Adrian Peterson ran for 203 yards and a touchdown in his record-tying sixth career 200-yard game, and Cordarrelle Patterson returned a kick 93 yards for a score. Neither are with the Vikings now. Teddy Bridgewater threw a touchdown pass, and he’s not with the team either. Derek Carr threw two touchdown passes for Oakland, but also was intercepted twice.

Why Bet on Oakland?
The Raiders were 28-10 home losers to the Chiefs on Sunday to fall to 1-1. The Raiders held Patrick Mahomes in check for the opening 15 minutes before he carved up an overmatched defense with big play after big play in the second quarter for the Chiefs. Mahomes threw four second-quarter TD passes.
Derek Carr completed 23-of-38 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Carr marched the Raiders right down the field on their first two drives and came away with 10 points. That was pretty much the end of the Raiders’ passing game. Both interceptions were Carr’s fault. On a 16-yard pass to Darren Waller in the second quarter of Sunday’s game, Carr became the franchise’s all-time leading passer, supplanting Hall of Famer Ken Stabler at the very top of the Raiders’ record books.
Waller led the team in receptions for the second consecutive week while also pacing the team with 63 receiving yards, becoming just the third Raiders tight end since 1986 (Todd Christensen – 1986, Brandon Myers – 2012) to record at least 50 receiving yards in each of the first two weeks of a season. Josh Jacobs rushed 12 times for 99 scoreless yards in the loss. Coach Jon Gruden told reporters Monday that Jacobs is dealing with a groin issue. It’s unclear if Jacobs is at risk of missing the Raiders’ Week 3 matchup.
In addition, No. 1 receiver Tyrell Williams is dealing with a hip pointer. It’s a tough spot regardless, as he’s expected to see shadow coverage from stud CB Xavier Rhodes. Williams has emerged as Carr’s No. 1 WR with 6-105-1 and 5-46-1 lines to start the season.
Raiders guard Richie Incognito is back with the team after serving his two-game suspension. Incognito will provide additional support to the Raiders’ interior offensive line and is tentatively expected to start at right guard.

Why Bet on Minnesota?
The Vikings enter Week 3 with a record of 1-1 after defeating the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 and falling to the Green Bay Packers on the road this past Sunday.
Kirk Cousins completed 14-of-32 passes for 230 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the loss to the Packers. Cousins also fumbled twice, losing one. Both of Cousins’ interceptions were inexcusably poor decisions. The first was forced to Stefon Diggs in triple coverage and batted up into the air. The second was forced to Diggs in triple coverage in the end zone and easily intercepted. Through two games, Cousins has completed 22 of 42 passes for 328 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Cousins has one career start against the Raiders, which occurred in 2017 when he was with Washington. He completed 25 of 30 passes for 365 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a passer rating of 150.7.
Dalvin Cook rushed 20 times for 154 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ Week 2 loss, adding three receptions for 37 additional yards. Cook had 75-yard touchdown in the second quarter. With the Vikes training 21-0, Cook used a nice cutback, poor tackling and elite breakaway speed to put his team on the board. Cook currently leads the NFL in rushing with 265 yards and three touchdowns. The Vikings ran for 198 total yards Sunday, and are currently third in the NFL with 185 rushing yards per game.
Minnesota allowed 176 yards on Green Bay’s first 19 plays, good for nine-plus yards per play. The Packers also converted all three third-down tries in the opening quarter. After that, the defense limited Aaron Rodgers and Co, as the Packers tallied just 154 yards on their final 50 plays of Sunday’s game.
Minnesota is 17-15 following a loss since Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer took over in 2014.
