Guys & Bets Episode 249

Joe Osborne and Andrew Avery are back to close the week on (hopefully) a high note as we ease into Super Bowl Sunday here on Guys & Bets. Joe breaks down three NBA picks while Ninja looks ahead to some soccer action for the weekend.

Joe starts the show off in Milwaukee with his first bet as the Bucks host the Denver Nuggets. The Bucks have shown they can win without Giannis, as they have built a good supporting cast. Khris Middleton is fresh off a 51-point game and has demonstrated he can handle a bigger scoring load if need be. Joe’s bet is regarding the spread.

In his first season in the NBA, Ja Morant has proven that he can play in the league. His next test is on the road as he and the Memphis Grizzlies visit the New Orleans Pelicans. The Grizz will be down a key member as Jaren Jackson is out, and Joe likes a side on Morant’s point total.

Normally, a Dallas Mavericks-Houston Rockets game would be must-see TV, but with Luka Doncic not making the trip to Houston, the landscape of this game has changed. These teams are tied with identical records at 29-18, so this one has some extra importance to it and Joe’s play here is on the total.

Ninja takes his picks to the pitch and gets started in the EPL. Manchester United faces Wolves in what is an important match for both sides. The teams are tied in the EPL standings with 34 points and are chasing Chelsea for the final spot in the Champions League. Ninja has a bet on the moneyline for this match and you’ll want to hear his reasoning.

Norwich finds itself in the basement of the EPL and looks headed for relegation. Newcastle has recently added some fresh blood to the lineup with left-back Danny Rose being the most recent. The Magpies are looking to go on a run in the EPL and this game could kick-start it.

For his final pick on the show, Ninja turns his attention to Serie A. Atalanta faces Genoa in what looks to be a huge mismatch. The bet here isn’t on the line, it’s for a total. Atalanta leads Serie A in scoring with 57 markers thus far, including seven in their last game against Torino, and this one could see them fill the net vs a lesser opponent once again.

As always, the show wraps up with a Q&A session for our viewers, so if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask, you should be joining us live every weekday at noon ET on our YouTube channel!
